NRA Range Safety Officer Certification

The NRA Range Safety Officer course is designed for individuals who want the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to organize, conduct, and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations.

This instructor-led course covers:

• The role and responsibilities of a Range Safety Officer
• Range Standard Operating Procedures
• Range inspection and range rules
• Conducting range safety briefings
• Emergency procedures
• Firearm stoppages and malfunctions
• Safe range operations and supervision

Duration: Approximately 9 hours
Cost: $150 per student
Class Size: Limited to 10 students
Live Fire: No live-fire qualification is required for this course

This is primarily a classroom-based course and may include practical range-related exercises depending on the training location.

Students must successfully complete the course requirements and examination to qualify for NRA Range Safety Officer certification. NRA credentialing or processing fees, if applicable, are separate from the Keeper & Legacy course fee.
